Precautions for dealing with COVID-19
Safety of our clients, colleagues, and community are of utmost importance to us. We understand your worry about COVID-19. Under Governor Ever’s March 24 “Safer at Home” order, law firms are exempt as essential businesses. However, we must still observe precautions to minimize contact with others, such as working remotely and using technology in place of face-to-face meetings.
Therefore, we have established the following firm procedures to continue to serve our clients:
- Instead of meeting with clients face-to-face, we will communicate with you in other ways. This includes communicating by telephone, email, postal mail, and video conferencing.
- At this time, we are conducting nearly all client meetings by telephone or video conference. Any meetings for signing documents will be decided on a case-by-case basis, which may include signing with remote participation of the advising attorney or curb-side signing with visual and spoken interactions.
- For any in-office interactions, we practice social distancing and additional cleaning measures. This means that we keep at least 6 feet apart from others, and we will not greet you with a handshake. We encourage our staff and visitors to wash their hands frequently. We will clean surfaces of public spaces after each visit, and we will offer hand sanitizer in our reception area and conference rooms.
Please let us know if you have any questions about our policies and practices. We are closely monitoring the situation, along with recommendations from local, state, and national authorities. Thank you.
