Holiday Greetings from Christenson Johnson
The attorneys and staff of Christenson Johnson, LLC, Attorneys at Law, wish you a very happy holiday season and a prosperous new year! We would like to share some highlights from 2018.
Our firm is dedicated to helping those with Alzheimer’s disease and other types of dementia. This year, we participated in several events, organized by the Alzheimer’s Association, that inspire fundraising, awareness, and action in the fight against Alzheimer’s disease. Some events included the Blondes vs. Brunettes women’s flag football game, the Reason to Hope breakfast, and the Walk to End Alzheimer’s. We will continue to advocate for those with dementia, and we hope you will join us in 2019!
Attorney Iris M. Christenson was elected Chair of the State Bar of Wisconsin Elder Law and Special Needs Section. The Elder Law and Special Needs Section works to protect the rights of elderly clients and consumers with the mission to develop and improve laws that affect these clients and consumers, and promote high standards of performance and expertise for those who practice in elder law and special needs.
Another highlight from our year included the announcement by The National Elder Law Foundation (NELF) that Attorney Mark T. Johnson became a Certified Elder Law Attorney (CELA). NELF is the only organization approved by the American Bar Association to offer certification in the area of elder law. Elder law is one of the fastest growing fields in the legal profession, and this certification provides a level of assurance to clients that Attorney Johnson has an in-depth working knowledge of the legal issues that impact the elderly.
To close out the year, we would like to announce that Christenson Johnson, LLC has been ranked by U.S. News – Best Lawyers® “Best Law Firms” 2019 Edition. Our firm has been ranked in two categories for the Madison area: Trusts & Estates Law (Tier 1) and Elder Law (Tier 2). In addition, our colleague Attorney Barbara S. Hughes was selected by her peers as a 2019 “Lawyer of the Year” in the practice area of Elder Law in Madison. Several of our attorneys were also recognized by their peers for inclusion in the 2019 edition of The Best Lawyers in America® for their high caliber work in specific practice areas: Attorney Mark T. Johnson, Elder Law and Trusts and Estates; Iris M. Christenson, Elder Law; and Barbara S. Hughes, Elder Law and Trusts and Estates.
We thank our clients and professional colleagues for your business and confidence in us in 2018. We look forward to providing you outstanding legal services in 2019 for your estate planning, elder law, special needs law, trusts and estates, and residential real estate needs.
