Attorneys Christenson and Hughes to present ABLE Accounts Webcast Seminar for the State Bar
Attorneys Iris Christenson and Barbara Hughes will present “ABLE Accounts: New Tool for Individuals with a Disability” as a webcast seminar for the State Bar of Wisconsin on November 8, 2017. The presentation will teach attorneys from across the state about the Achieving a Better Life Experience (ABLE) Act of 2013. ABLE Accounts can provide new financial flexibility for individuals with a disability and can enhance the dignity of their lives. Attorneys Christenson and Hughes will discuss the ABLE Accounts, how to establish them, choice of state programs, pros and cons, interaction with special needs trusts, and the ultimate distribution of remaining funds at the individual’s death.
